// NOSTALGIA!!!! - And Free downloads for y'all :)
Ok. Before we were the accidental avoiders of limelight that are 'Z-Listers' we made tons of music in different genres and under different names. When we first got together (musically speaking) in the late 90's we made drum & bass.
Unfortunately we were a bit.. um... naughty in our clubbing days and could barely string two words together let alone approach record labels, so never got around to trying to get our stuff signed.
Anyways, History lesson over. Long story short - we had fun listening back to the tracks this week, and figured why not just give a load out for free in a nostalgic gesture of sharingness. These were made before we even had a PC/MAC, so for the retro gear buffs - our kit list (bless!) was a modded Atari ST, Novation supernova, Akai 3200XL, JV1080 & Yamaha NS10s. Word ;-)

For the seventh Trickery Collective release, we bring you Loop deVille, a Brighton-based trio with a penchant for tomfoolery. Their track "The One" is summer festival breaks at its best, with glitched-out female vocals sitting atop huge drums and sub bass, with a lush mid-section drop that's simply irresistable.
On remix duty, we call on electro-house superstars Z-Listers, whose sound has blown up in a massive way over 2008, becoming a DJ crate staple worldwide. Their sawtooth-heavy remix keeps the lush midsection from the original, but flips everything else on its head with some hard-as-hell bass, rave stabs and distinctly "Z" beats.
Last but not least is Butter Party, who loops, chops and crushes the original bassline, hardens up the vocals, and throws in some trademark techy stabs for good measure.

* Also on Hardplace Records, our original 'Shockhorror' release has also been remixed by Los Angeles legend Mike Balance. We were all prepared to keep tight-lipped about the coolness of it, but the cheeky scamp has gone and put a clip up in his myspace, so check it out for some XXXtra-exclusiveness
* Our delayed (from 2007!) 'Let it Go' track has now been snatched by Toolbox records, for a planned October release - featuring a remix by Swedish house mafia hitman Per QX. We couldn't be in better company - Per's last remix was earlier this month for D.Ramirez!
